That's right! It's no surprise that Bublr Bikes have been popping up all over Milwaukee, but there is a lack of them in Riverwest.

The bike friendly community has recognized this and is now funding to make it happen. Company Brewing will being hosting a kickoff event for the bikes on October 19th. So far the non-profit system has been able to build out it's bike sharing stations through generous support and public grants. This will be the first time Bublr has tried a crowd funded approach to building a new station.

The community is excited about the possibility of a Bublr Bike station and many local businesses are behind the cause as well. The cost of a single nine bike station is $60,000, including the bikes, technology and year round maintenance. Businesses such as Centro Cafe, Cafe Corazon, Fix Development, Fuel Cafe and Bliffert Lumber have all decided to give financial support to the bike station. Collectivo has even created a special Bublr Bike coffee for the campaign where they pledge to donate $1 for every bag sold.

If you want to support the entrance of Bublr Bikes into the neighborhood there are a few ways to do so. There is a live online crowdfunding going on called Pedal Forward Riverwest that you can get to by clicking here. As well as the kickoff event this Thursday at Company Brewing.
