Miller Park finally gets new name for 2021 season

American Family Insurance made a decision...

Miller park will be no more!

Beginning January 2, 2021 - Miller Park will officially be re-named to "American Family Field".  It was about a year ago when we found out that the Miller Park naming rights would be running out, and American Family Insurance had won the bid for the new naming rights.

People have been wondering how we can cope with a new name.  What will it be called?

You know what? American Family Field is fine.  It's short, it's quick, and to the point.  It could be worse.  We could play in the "KFC Yum" Center, or the "Smoothie King" Center.  We're also lucky it didn't end up being called "Gruber Stadium"  or "One Call That's All Ballpark".  I would be surprised if David Gruber didn't make a bid, or at least THINK about making a run at it.  That dude is everywhere.

At the end of the day, we'll get over it.  The Bradley Center changed to the BMO Harris Bradley Center, which changed to a pile of rubble, which ultimately brought us Fiserv Forum.  We're used to it.  American Family Insurance is a Wisconsin company, based out of Madison - so while it's not a MILWAUKEE company, I'll give it a pass - it's in the state, I guess that counts for something.

As long as the Brewers keep kicking ass, they can call it whatever they want...Miller Park, American Family Field, whatever.

Let's take a quick moment of silence while we reflect on the OG...County Stadium.  RIP.
