Ever wanted to have that old school food fight you always see in the movies? This weekend is your chance to do it... with tomatoes!

This year's annual Tomato Romp is this Saturday, September 9th and it is definitely a sight to see. The day-long festival's main event is a giant tomato fight inspired by the La Tomatina festival in Spain. If you're not into getting down, dirty and covered in the tomato goop, the festival also has live music, Bloody Mary crawls, and a giant Bloody Mary contest. The events take place in Milwaukee's East Side on North Avenue, between Prospect and Oakland. It all starts at 10:00 a.m. and finishes off with the spectacular tomato fight at 4:00 p.m. The fight is $10 to participate and all of the proceeds of the battle will be donated to the Riverwest Food Pantry. So put on your tomato throwing gear, drink some bloodies and celebrate at this year's Tomato Romp!
