A beloved drama teacher is under fire this week over what the drama club calls a harmless tradition.  Even before Amelia Figg-Franzoi, the current drama teacher, started at Homestead High School in Mequon, the "Ass Platter" was a drama tradition, with it being handed down senior to senior each year.  Students start a friendly competition amongst each other, and whoever gets the best reaction from the audience is awarded with the platter.  All the students explained to reporters that it was all harmless fun, and that you're not required to participate in the competition to win the platter.

The students bring up the point that the swim team is able to pull stunts that may be considered inappropriate too, but aren't under the same fire that the drama department is.

The school confirmed that Figg-Franzoi will be back in class today, but will be working to eradicate the tradition of the "Ass Platter."

What do you think?  Do you think the tradition is harmless or do you agree with the school that it should be eradicated?  To read more, click here!
