Candy Hearts Are No Longer Available For Valentine's Day

What On Earth Will You Buy This Valentine's Day Instead??

January 24, 2019

Well, I'm not sure who ACTUALLY eats these, but it turns out that candy hearts will no longer be available this Valentine's Day!  OH, THE HORROR!

According to reports, the change this years stems from the parent company, Necco, who went out of business in July.  Eventually, the company was bought by Spangler Candy Co. in September, but the company said there was not enough time to produce them for Valentine's Day 2019. In fact, the company hasn't restarted production on Sweethearts, Necco Wafers and Canada Mints.

I have to be honest though....they taste like chalk and I can't think of one person who really LIKES eating them.  Are you the one?  Or are people just buying them to have some fun?

I know that over the years, when I have bought them, it was only to give them away immediately, usually to make someone laugh or smile.

The good news is that you MAY still be able to find some out there, as the company said that any you find were produced before July 2018.  You may also be able to find some knock off brands, so if you are actually into these....GOOD LUCK!
